“ within my heart and soul “

It all began long ago…

At least my soul tells me so…

A fragmented old box was found…

Within it was a small hankerchef…

One created with such painstakingly detail…

That I found it to be absolutely mind boggling…

It was then, while examining it…

I accidentally touched it with my bare skin…

Just a gentle touch of my little finger…

The paperwork alone for such a breech…

As well as endless array of embarrassing moments…

I was shortly there after that the images began…

It was a woman whose eyes were a shade of green…

She wore her hair up as if in a bun…

I know it is not possible…

She would have to be present for me to breathe in her scent…

Before I had begun to wrap my brain around her…

My obsession of her took control of my reasoning…

I witnessed her bathing, dressing, undressing…

Walking about, almost dancing if one can believe…

We never touched, we never spoke…

On one occasion I did hear a woman’s voice…

She was singing or perchance humming…

I am not sure if it is I who occupy her world…

Or has she moved into mine…

Which ever it may be…

I know of one thing…

That she now dwells…

Within my heart and soul…
