“ The Winds Of Time “

“ the winds of time “

The winds of time have reeked havoc upon

her beauty the beautiful gown she made

and wore through Spring.

The one she adorned with flowers has been

Lost to the lingering Summer heat.

The dog days have not been kind and have

had their way with her and as we move closer

towards Autumn where she will.

Once again adorn herself this time with freckles.

She will bathe herself with the morning dew.

As she kisses the freckles one by one goodbye.

They will catch the morning breezes.

Some will soar into the heavens and be lost

to time others will join the fleet and head off

on a journey.

Leading them through the rivers and down

to the sea those who shall remain have been

chosen and they.

Will watch over and prepare the next generation

and those to come and still forming into those

pink blooms of late Spring.

And I will smile as I watch her posing in her

naked beauty through the long nights of Winter.

Knowing how beautiful she shall appear as

she adorns herself in the latest fashions

come early Spring.
