“ the love I felt “

“ the love I felt “

First impressions are so revealing and mine was Lara.

Yuri Zhivago’s Lara.

As all of my favorite scenes from the movie

played out in my mind.

From the frost as it formed on the panes of glass.

The intrigue beauty of their creation,

art in its truest form.

Each an original one never to be created again.

Forming before my very eyes as I watched

they melted into Spring.

And yes I thought of her.

The you that fills my heart.

The you that fills all of my mind.

The you I found in every poem, every love story

Those I have read and those I have written.

The you I found in every recess even those

with locked and bolted doors.

Volumes and volumes covered in Stardust from

before Man began to record them

in days and hours and minutes.

When asked why He created light, He answered.

So everyone could see and know the love I felt.
