“ Once Again My Darlin “
Once again my darlin, I have just now finished reading through another stack of old books and journals. Containing the encoded rattling written to one another throughout the years of our separations. Our curse to love and be loved in a spirit that can not end. I wish that just once, just once, that someone would realize through our poetry. Just how our love has endured, just how we have found each other in the lines written in countless stanzas and lyrics over and over again, unbeknownst to the ages we have shared. The passion that burns within our souls, our bodies have changed but our souls remain. The color and shapes of our eyes have changed and yet when our eyes cross, we know. As our souls entwine, are hearts begin to beat as one, our bodies begin to yearn in a language that others envy. Those who are ashamed of our passion who hide their eyes lest someone see into their souls and finds their secret desires, the ones they fear, the ones that would reveal the unbridled, unadulterated love that exists within our universe. It is no wonder they turn to drugs and alcohol as an excuse to release the passion they fear. Their animal lust as if it were a sin, ashamed to allow their light to shine, they hide behind their pious hearts slowly going insane. As they point fingers and lay blame against one another. Yes, my darling you will find this encoded amidst lines that simply say.
I love you.
I desire you.
I enjoy making love to you.
In words as wells as when
our lips touch our bodies entwined
our breasts heaving with little beads
of sweat, our voices singing
out in pleasure of the love
we share
have shared
will share
