“ living poetry “

It has been said that soulmates will always meet,

for despite their differences they walk the same path…

You can call it joy or name it pleasure,

they find comfort within each other…

Be it a mere thought and uncontrollable smile…

A flowering weed growing all alone,

or an entire field of wild flowers,

is a work of art, or living poetry…

A lone feature stuck in a branch or upon the ground,

a message from one of God’s Angels…

A sudden urge to hear their voice,

as the mere sound is their embrace…

A shared image will bring forth a smile,

as if it were a forehead kiss.

Inspired by the image and an old song, “ all alone am I since your goodbye “

Songs by Brenda Lee, and Allison Krauss

Original song by Manos Hadjidakis

Performed by Tzeni Karezi for the soundtrack of the film

To nisi ton genneon (The Island of the Brave);

“Μην τον ρωτάς τον ουρανό”

(“Min ton rotas ton ourano”, translation: “Don’t ask the heaven”).

English version was written by Owen Bradley
