“ her favorite song “

I woke to the sound of a woman humming or so it seemed

to me or, so I allowed myself to believe. It seemed to be

a mixture of a womens voice blending between the lyrics

of a song and the humming of a tune all in a cappella.

It was an enchanting melody and brought me to my senses

leaving me intrigued by the alluring nature of her voice.

It was then I found myself stumbling along a pathway

of sorts stepping on and tripping over branches as well as

some form of ivy in various spots and the crumbling

of leaves or plants under my bare feet.

The moonlight was breaking through the clouds and the

canopy from the trees it was then I spotted a door appearing

out of nowhere and high lighted by the moonlight.

And the sound of a womens voice seemed much clearer

as if it were on the other side this very old door.

I began to push against the door which seemed to be set

within a stone wall. I pushed even harder using all of

my strength and it grudgingly gave way amidst creaks
